arctic ozone hole almost

Ozone remains thin, almost hollow in the Arctic. Decrease in stratospheric temperatures may cause.

The cause of ozone hole formation, there are three, according to Professor Ross Sala Witch, a chemist and biochemist at the University of Maryland, who studied the chemical composition of the atmosphere. All three are sunlight, halogen and low temperatures.

When the temperatures drop the threshold, the clouds formed in the stratosphere. Halogen, in particular pollutants, such as chlorine and bromine, into a chemical compound that reacts quickly in the ozone layer. "Everything changed drastically," says Sala Witch.
This year the polar wind, known as the "polar vortex" very calm and stable. It plays a role in lowering the temperature in the Arctic. This drastic reduction, if it occurred in the Antarctic, can certainly form the ozone hole because ozone is thinner than in the Arctic.

At present, the vortex wind had vanished and the air outside a warmer Arctic would go to fix the ozone layer.

If the hole in the ozone layer, more UV radiation reaches the earth that can lead to skin diseases. The ozone layer is getting thin-skinned people will easily be more sensitive to sunburn.
